*This rate will be set at a low monthly cost based upon applicant(s) income.-Monthly payments for debt cannot exceed 43% of gross monthly income.The first phase of constructing the home is our design and land selecting phase, in which we present a qualified architect and engineer with a list of requirements based upon the family’s individual needs and our land availability.Once the home is finished, and all requirements have been met for homeownership, we turn the keys over to the new homeowners during a dedication ceremony attended by the family, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and Board members. Coos Bay Area Habitat for Humanity (as well as Habitat for Humanity International) does business in accordance with the federal Fair Housing Act.-Other facts demonstrating a need for the type of housing Coos Bay Area Habitat can provide, that goes beyond a personal desire to own a home.-Gross household income must be between 30% and 60% of the median income for the Coos Bay Area at the time of application (click here for HUD listing for Coos County).
-Bankruptcies must have been discharged for at least two (2) years.
